As a first-generation Latina immigrant, most, if not all, of my transformative experiences have revolved around storytelling. Navigating different cultures while growing up in the United States drew me to words and other modes of expression that not only conveyed messages and emotions, but did so through stories. Since then, I’ve explored how stories can transport, connect, represent, and educate, and have become interested in digital and film-based media and in its production through my studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I’m a recent graduate with majors in English and Communications with a focus in Media Production, and an associate producer at Teacup Productions, and when I’m not researching concepts and ideas, experimenting with a camera, or gazing at my surroundings in wonder, I’m consuming and learning from other written, audio, and visual mediums.
